Terrible and beyond

Posted : 11 years, 3 months ago on 22 December 2012 03:42 (A review of Gravity's Rainbow)

Terrible just terrible, this was just bad I can't really say any more, except for the obvious, I would never ever recommend or even let the person who asks me about this trash see the cover of such crap, the only thing I would give this book to is the trash can, or a person who I despise ..so I could let them suffer like Pynchon made me suffer when reading his god awful badly done in every way possible shit with the stupid excuse to be named a "book"!?.

Anyone who says it's a "masterpiece" is an idiot.

Not great, but not bad

Posted : 11 years, 3 months ago on 22 December 2012 03:34 (A review of Dubliners)

Oh my god, I read this last out of the Joyce collection and my god it was how I expected it to be ..LAME! It sucked, it really really did, seriously me putting a sticker on myself saying ''author'' makes me more than one than he ever was.
Oh my anyone who can enjoy anything by Joyce is a complete and utter idiot a twit who lacks any sort of intellectual adequacy, a book for bafoons.

Not his best

Posted : 11 years, 3 months ago on 22 December 2012 03:06 (A review of The Brothers Karamazov)

Well I finished this book a couple of days ago, and I have come to my conclusion that it's none other than an ordinary book, it's average. I didn't really get that much interest into it as many people claim to say they did. But I could just about see why people would enjoy to read a book such as this, but it's just nothing to great. I think people read books like these just for show, you know, they didn't really understand or enjoy it but they just read them or claim to have read them purely to get a reaction of people. A shock of something like "wow they are so clever to read that". I am a Dostoyevsky fan and I like quite a lot of his books, but this was just a bit disappointing to me, that's all.

Reread: good but, not his best.

Travels with Charley in Search of America review

Posted : 11 years, 3 months ago on 18 December 2012 04:46 (A review of Travels with Charley in Search of America)

One of the nicest books I have ever had the true and meaningful pleasure to ever come across and read. I wish the teachers would have read this legendary book to us instead boring Shakespeare, who is completely and utterly overrated. And although John Steinbeck isn't one of my favourite authors, his work should be more talked about and passed by then any of the overrated crap like James Joyce's ''Ulysses'' or any Kafka book. This here is a book for pleasure and enjoyment. Anyone who dislikes this book is just filled with hate and a perfectionist. And that is the truth of it.

The Trial review

Posted : 11 years, 3 months ago on 18 December 2012 04:25 (A review of The Trial)

Ok I never read books or anything like this but I just felt like I should maybe give it a go...and I did. And it was better than I thought it would be. Also I'm not a fan of Kafka whatsoever, so this is a complete exception. And yes, 6 is a high rating for me...

The Sound and the Fury review

Posted : 11 years, 3 months ago on 18 December 2012 04:22 (A review of The Sound and the Fury)

Well I read this book a few years ago, and so I couldn't quite remember what I thought of it so I read it again a few days ago and I have decided that it's average. It's an average book. Still it's better than anything Joyce did.

Watchmen review

Posted : 11 years, 3 months ago on 15 December 2012 11:13 (A review of Watchmen)

Not impressed. AT ALL. The cartoon movie version is 100x better. But on the side I was quite enjoying this but the ending sucked, I mean really really sucked. And there was a few bits in this movie that were fiddled about with, which led to it being spoilt. Please please take my advice and watch the cartoon movie. It's better than this average movie that you choose to watch instead/first.

Slumdog Millionaire review

Posted : 11 years, 3 months ago on 15 December 2012 11:07 (A review of Slumdog Millionaire)

It's ok, I think you need some sort of patience to truly enjoy this movie. I was really getting into it but the ending really was not good. The ending happens the way most people assume. He wins and gets the girl. The end. Move onto another movie now, after a week you will have forgotten you have even seen this movie.

BUT! Give it a try. You might indeed like it.

Very bad

Posted : 11 years, 3 months ago on 15 December 2012 10:51 (A review of Ulysses)

It's not one of my favourites. It really wasn't anything to good. To tell you the truth it's quite overrated. I can no way, not for even a split second think of Ulysses as a masterpiece. Because it's not.
