Posted : 11 years, 4 months ago on 26 December 2012 05:01 (A review of Star Trek: The Animated Series)

Oh dear......I have been a Star Trek fan for a long long time now and after seeing just 2 episodes of this I broke out in anger and confusion, how can anybody actually continue to watch this and enjoy it...Woah.. That's off because this ISN'T suppose to be comedy believe it or not, because to tell you the truth I thought it bloody was.

Stand by Me review

Posted : 11 years, 4 months ago on 26 December 2012 04:31 (A review of Stand by Me)

Not bad for a coming-of-age film. I always find those types of films so boring, I also hate the stereotypical characters that come along with the boredom. But, this, was somewhat different. I've seen a few films like these with Corey Feldman, like The Goonies, which yes, I did enjoy. Though I only really watched this for River Phoenix, I think he was a good child actor, and it is a shame he died early, he's only really known for this film, which kind of annoys me. It's the same situation with a few others actors who died early too, for example: James Dean - Rebel Without a Cause; Heath Ledger - Dark Knight. So...I really would have liked to have seen more of Phoenix, but sadly that wont be.

Some of the reasons I liked this film, and I'm giving it a 7 was 1. I liked the majority of the story, for it didn't for bloody once include long dirty talks about sex, girls more sex etc. I detest those things in a film, let alone in a coming of age film, but, no I was certainly free from all of that.

Though, this must be mentioned, I thought the story was oh so very slightly weak, it honestly did not have a lot to go on, but I've been redeemed by such matters in books, why should it be different in a film?, yes, that's a question I'd like to know the answer to.

Overall, I've seen some pretty bad (disgusting) coming of age films, but I truly think that this film had a spark of originality. Though come on, I only really watched it in the first place to coming a step nearer to watching the whole of River's filmography. And, thankfully, it most certainly wasn't a disaster.

The Metamorphosis review

Posted : 11 years, 4 months ago on 25 December 2012 04:35 (A review of The Metamorphosis)

Seriously how the hell can Kafka expect people to think this as a masterpiece, oh dear.............., I mean. People DO class it as a masterpiece..WHY!? It's anything but. This book is just WRONG. It's not even close to being adequate.

I prefer ''The Trial'' than this tripe though.

Anna Karenina review

Posted : 11 years, 4 months ago on 25 December 2012 04:27 (A review of Anna Karenina)

This book should be for enjoyment only, don't trust this to be a mind blowing, outrageous kind of book, it's suppose to be based on history, but I found a few bits in it that were quite bad from the fixed history in the Russian Royal Family, but other than that..give it a try.

A very very good book

Posted : 11 years, 4 months ago on 25 December 2012 04:24 (A review of Crime and Punishment)

Ah yes, one of the first books I have read over a long time that I actually liked, it's defiantly a hard yet interesting book to read and so I would recommend it to anyone who likes an interesting and confusing book, I kinda do but you know I have my limits. So yes I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone I think would read and enjoy

The Sorrows of Young Werther review

Posted : 11 years, 4 months ago on 25 December 2012 04:19 (A review of The Sorrows of Young Werther)

I finished this book a couple of weeks ago and I have made my conclusion that this book is below average, it's not exactly one of the best ever books I have read BUT I can defiantly see why people would like it and ACTUALLY enjoy it....so it's a fairly good book, nothing too special.

Fairly good.

Posted : 11 years, 4 months ago on 25 December 2012 04:13 (A review of Notes from Underground)

Yeah it's fairly good, wasn't so stunned and amazed as some people say they were after reading it but ermmm, it was a pretty good read you know and I would recommend it to people who like quite a different read from normal books.

So overall, average book.

PROPER BATMAN

Posted : 11 years, 4 months ago on 25 December 2012 04:09 (A review of Batman)

This film rules!, it's really good, I wasn't expecting anything to be good about this film...boy was I WRONG! It's brilliant also having such acting talents such as Jack Nicholson really does make it even better, excellent film. Would be ideal for not only Batman fans but for action movie fans and basically a person who loves to watch a good freakin' movie!!!.

This is one of my favourite movies, it's better then any other new mainstream Batman today, that's for sure.

Snakes on a Plane review

Posted : 11 years, 4 months ago on 25 December 2012 04:02 (A review of Snakes on a Plane)

I don't really care what anyone has to say. I didn't mind this film. I thought it was going to be dreadful, but actually it was ok, not brilliant, but average, rather entertaining. And although it can be very predictable at times, I still did not think it was all that bad. Not enough deaths though.

The Big Sleep review

Posted : 11 years, 4 months ago on 25 December 2012 03:58 (A review of The Big Sleep)

Well I really enjoyed this film, but it's clearly dated.
It's also especially nice to see two Hollywood Golden Era Actors Humphrey Bogart & Lauren Bacall, it's a really good film. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in The Golden Hollywood.
