Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince review

Posted : 11 years, 2 months ago on 9 February 2013 07:59 (A review of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince)

Despite having liked a few of the earlier Potter films, I have to say, as the years went by more and more people were getting into the Harry Potter franchise- including dumb horny teenagers, and we all know what they want in a movie, kissing, sex and pathetic sissy relationships, well that's what this film had.

More than half of the film was about love potions and ugly looking relationships between ugly looking people. I know they were getting older and all that bullcrap but I think it spoiled Harry Potter, I read the book and it had none of that crap. And then to top it all of was the most awfullest thing in the Harry Potter series, Dumblerdore died. So having sat there for over an hour board out of your mind of stupid crummy relationships, you the have a horrible, nasty surprise in which he dies. So if I were you just don't bother watching this one, you know Dumbledore dies. The only thing you'll miss is utter boredom and trash.

Avoid it like an Atheist does church.

How's this funny?

Posted : 11 years, 2 months ago on 4 February 2013 10:25 (A review of Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004))

Okay. I see it now. I now see why everyone hates Will Ferrell.

This was so unfunny. I don't even know where to start. I thought Blades of Glory was ok, not great, but this was just utter rubbish. I also disliked Step Brother: over an hour of Will Ferrell acting like a 3 year old. The 'jokes' suck, bad. It's proof that you do get unfunny jokes. The whole 'sexism' crap, also irritates me. Oooh Will Ferrell playing himself. Steve Carrell, again playing...himself. I'd much rather watch a Sandler film, and I'm sure you already know, that is saying a lot. This truly is dire stuff. Simply avoid it.

It seriously annoys me that Will Ferrell gets paid for what he does.

Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan review

Posted : 11 years, 2 months ago on 4 February 2013 10:04 (A review of Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan)

Not going to lie. Thought it was going to be much more worse that it actually was. It was fairly entertaining in parts. Not necessarily 'funny' just sometimes interesting to watch. It also was really weird that Kazakhstan was chosen, I mean, what an obscure country. You can't stereotype it, so why choose it? I do wonder...

The parts I liked of this film were that fat man and him running around the hotels, I thought that was pretty funny. You get many stuck-up snobs in posh hotels, and to shock them like that, well, it was funny. Though I'm sure it was staged...come on. There's no proof, but it's sort of obvious. I hope it wasn't, anyway.

I didn't really like the whole 'Pamela Anderson' thing...kinda boring. As was the 'sex' jokes. Containing vulgarity up to sky-high. I really felt ill after that, but as long as a film has some redeeming aspects, then I can forgive.

Overall, though I didn't think it was all that 'bad', I still didn't think it was brilliant, really. But, I'm sure this is better than Bruno and The Dictator. By a long shot, I'm sure...

Numbers review

Posted : 11 years, 2 months ago on 2 February 2013 12:14 (A review of Numbers)

Long back I thought one of the reasons for television was to escape the annoyance of everyday life, but it seems as if I was wrong, as we have numbers, basically a show about uninteresting people, chatting about uninteresting things and how they know hot to count up to Ten. This show is so boring. I understand it's a real fight to the top when it comes to Police/Crime shows, as there's already so many, but there's clearly no effort in this whatsoever. I can't believe this has yet to be cancelled (or, maybe it already has? I do hope so). I'm not up to date.

Sometimes, in very rare case, you do get an average and original show that has some great characters, but sadly, this isn't the case. The characters that feature in Numbers are very boring and unforgettable. Not a very well-thought out show. And they've cancelled some superb shows that are better than this. Such a shame.

One of Sandler's worst movies

Posted : 11 years, 2 months ago on 30 January 2013 04:03 (A review of The Longest Yard)

Ok, now I think this is one of Sandler's worst movies. Not only was it very unfunny but it was also boring. Which really isn't a good mix. Truth be told, I didn't actually watch the whole movie I got about 50 minutes in, and then I had to switch it off, I knew it wasn't going to get any better, especially when it comes to things like this. Don't bother watching, even if you are a fan of Adam Sandler's work. I'd go for something like Big Daddy, Click or The Wedding singer, which in my opinion are his bearable movies.

I don't think Adam Sandler is as bad as everyone says he is, but I do think these films he keeps appearing in got way old years back. Think it's time for a change? Well, I think that's perhaps a little too late, as he's already a type-cast, therefore everything he touches is a flop. But, on this specific film, just avoid like the plague.

I think that saying was invented purely to describe films like these.

Dated like hell.

Posted : 11 years, 3 months ago on 27 January 2013 03:36 (A review of Son of Paleface)

I spoke to a few people before watching this, and they all pretty much said the same thing: that it's very dated, which I can definitely see. But back in the old days this sort of film and comedy was the only thing people had. It was great to see Trigger though. Bob Hope sure has his moments, but he's not a favourite of mine. Jane Russell is great, as always. And Roy Rogers has a laugh at himself. It had it's moments, but it wasn't anything too good. I recommend you try some other Hope, instead of this.

Torture in a film.

Posted : 11 years, 3 months ago on 24 January 2013 09:12 (A review of Mamma Mia!)

One of the most stupidest movies I have ever seen. It had nothing it was just stupid. I'm not a huge fan of ABBA or anything but this movie is just irritating. It also didn't help with the cast, Meryl Streep who I find highly overrated, her acting abilities and her movies, so it's really no wonder I disliked this movie. Cheesy acting, bad music and endless mawkish scenes that get so ugly and cringe worthy, you just want to hang yourself. I watched this in the cinema, and was well into my popcorn, I lost interest as soon as this started.

Pretty Persuasion review

Posted : 11 years, 3 months ago on 24 January 2013 08:57 (A review of Pretty Persuasion)

Well what a waste of time, listen here, there's no point watching this, it's absolute trash. Just a stupid story with a weak plot. They try to make it all serious and shocking about when one of the characters commits suicide, but as all the characters weren't developed or interesting I really really couldn't care less, and all them unnecessary sex bits were just ridiculous I fast forwarded every one. It's really not worth watching at all.

Typical 'sex' stuff, some may call it lustful, well yuck. If you want to watch much more of Evan Rachel Wood as a slutty, whore and drug-addict. Then you'll sure love this. Otherwise...

Don't waste your time.

Overrated much?

Posted : 11 years, 3 months ago on 21 January 2013 10:09 (A review of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre)

I seriously don't get why this is being called a "classic"!?, it's not, it's really slow and predictable, it's a total waste of time. It's exactly like those never ending Friday 13th sequels, they never would end and they were all the same.

I just don't get what's so great about this, there is no story to it, just a bunch of kids in a deserted place and they pretty much all get killed and then you have them really annoying bits when you think they're going to get killed BUT they don't and so on. It's a very overrated movie. Don't just pretend to like it just because someone said it's a classic. And when I heard that this film got 'banned' I'm just thinking "what for?" If it was banned because it was such a crap film, then I can easily understand, but if it was banned because it was 'scary' I must be loosing my mind. This isn't scary for a second, I'd rather watch Hostel. Or...Pretty Woman, now that's a scary movie.

A Below Average Film

Posted : 11 years, 3 months ago on 21 January 2013 04:55 (A review of Road Trip)

It's not that good. It's how you'd expect it to be: Sex, Women, Drugs and predictable disappointments. Ohh, just great...

It's not really like the first American Pie movie - which I didn't mind, this is just like the never ending sequels of the American Pie Series. And, truth be told, I don't even know why I bothered to watch this pap, I've seen one of these, why would I want to see another? Good question. But it's probably because I didn't mind Euro Trip, which came out a few years after this, I honestly thought it was alright. But this, well, it was just crap. And I suggest you watch Euro Trip instead, if you haven't already. So, it's only really worth watching if you like stupid teen movies, and if you find dumb horny kids smoking weed great then you'll love this.

But, it's such a below average film, it's not really worth watching.
